From I-83 North, take exit 17, Padonia Road, and follow through the York Road intersection. Turn left onto Greenside Drive. Turn right on the first street, Gibbons Boulevard. At the top of the hill, turn left on to Van Buren Lane and proceed to the Almshouse.

Holidays

The Historical Society is closed for New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Birthday, President’s day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Winter Holidays. (If a holiday falls on a Sunday/Monday, HSBC is closed the Saturday prior.)

Weather Related and other Closing

For weather related closings and delays, HSBC follows Baltimore County Public Schools during the week, and Baltimore County Recreation and Parks on weekends.

Occasionally HSBC needs to close for special circumstances (building maintenance, etc.) We announce these closings on social media, but we encourage visitors – especially those traveling a distance – to call or email to confirm that we will be open on the day of your visit. 410-666-1878 /info@hsobc.org
