Mission
The Historical Society of Baltimore County collects, conserves, and interprets the rich history of Baltimore County for the education and enjoyment of present and future generations.

What we have
The Historical Society of Baltimore County
houses more than 7,000 museum artifacts, 
5,000 photographs from the 19th century to present, 3,100 library shelf holdings, 2,000 genealogy surname vertical files, and 1,000 subject vertical files.  The Society also maintains and sells a plethora of maps, periodicals, and publications all related to Baltimore County history.  For more details on available research materials, please visit our library's webpage.

Friday noon to 4 p.m.
Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Second Wednesday of each month, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
In case of inclement weather, please call ahead. 

Holidays
The Historical Society is closed for New Year's Day, Martin Luther King, Jr.'s Birthday, President's day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Winter Holidays. 

Entrance Fee
Adults are $5.00 per visit.
Members are free. 

 

The Society welcomes volunteers.  You can make a difference.
