On behalf of the Historical Society of Baltimore County (HSBC), we are pleased to announce that, on Saturday evening, October 10 at 7pm, HSBC will be holding its second ever benefit concert – again at the Music Barn on the Sotir Farm located at 14601 Cooper Road, Phoenix, MD.

British singer-songwriter Callaghan (now based in Nashville, TN) will be returning to perform her beautiful Americana music including tunes from her first album Life in Full Colour as well as from her live album and her brand new release A History of Now.

If you saw Callaghan last year at the Music Barn, you already know what a talented artist she is and how uplifting her music was and will be this fall. This year, Callaghan will be joined by a cellist as well. Check out her recent videos of “Who Would I Be” and “We Don’t Have to Change the World”.

Joining Callaghan on the co-bill will be country music recording artist Granville Automatic featuring the fantastic vocals of Vanessa Olivarez and Elizabeth Elkins. Their latest album, An Army Without Music, was just released August 14, 2015 and is available for download on iTunes or check it out on theirwebsite along with their first album and a collection of live hits. Watch their YouTube performances of “Never on a Sunday” and “Grancer Harrison” to get a taste of their music.

Tickets ($50 per person) are now on sale. Seating is limited to 150 and last year we sold out ten days before the concert. Below is an order form for tickets and for sponsorships. Or you may call us at 410-666-1878 or 410-935-0117 for either tickets or to discuss other ways of supporting this fundraiser concert and HSBC.

Your generous support of this concert permits HSBC to continue its mission of collecting, preserving and interpreting the rich history of Baltimore County including lectures, genealogical research, publications, tours, exhibits, historical research, the re-opening of its museum and its preservation of artifacts of Baltimore County history and sharing them with the world. Learn more about HSBC by visiting its website and by watching a four minute slideshownarration here.

If you can’t make the concert (or if you are game for a full day and night of HSBC fun), consider joining the HSBC bus tour of historic Catonsville on October 10 from 9am to 5pm. More info on the bus tour is available here.

Thank you for all you do for the Historical Society of Baltimore County!
